Defenders of Art

“We have the duty to preserve the past, because without memory there is no identity.”

Why Does It Matter?

Let's start by defining the thing we are trying to protect, so that we know how to defend it, from whom, and what we would lose if we don't. We must understand its value, its role, and above all, our responsibility.

What is Art

Art is the language in which we entrust our most important messages.

Art is not just decoration — it is memory, testimony, and truth. Every sculpture, fresco, and painting carries the stories of humanity and culture.

Why is it Important to Defend It

When art is attacked, it is lost forever.

When art is attacked or neglected, we lose voices of those who lived before us. Defending art is defending knowledge, freedom, and empathy. It connects us across centuries.

What Can You Do

Art calls its defenders, will you rise?

You can contribute by reporting attacks on artworks, supporting preservation projects, or educating others on the importance of art. Every action helps protect our shared heritage.
