I also write essays on other topics on my Substack blog called Bardlines. It's not a newsletter dedicated to website updates and recent attacks against works of art.

FAQ
1. Can I contribute information?
Yes. If you have verified data, historical context, or images, you can contact me via the X profile above.
2. Do you get money from this website?
No. There are no ads on this website. Defenders of Art is an independent project and is not affiliated with any institution.
3. Why is there only a map of Europe?
A world map would make smaller nations harder to locate, so I chose to display only Europe, where most works of art, and therefore attacks, are found. Attacks outside Europe are still listed in the "List of Attacks" section.
4. Why is the map of Europe incomplete?
The map is incomplete for technical and space reasons, not for political or ideological ones. Handling the map's code is not easy, so I chose a more restricted area to keep it centered and properly zoomed.
5. Why don’t some nations have a page yet?
The website is in continuous expansion, so most pages will be added over time. As for the pages that won’t be added, it’s because, fortunately, there haven’t been any notable recent attacks in those nations.
6. Can I use the data or images from the site?
Most images are not mine. As for the data, if you want to use it, a mention is appreciated. However, the main goal of this project is to fight the destruction of art, so if you share the same goal and find my website helpful, I’m already happy.
